#1 I think what many of us have on our minds, the huge tornado in Oklahoma.
The Teacher's Treasure Chest has a ton of donated goods from lots of great TpT teacher-authors.
$250 worth of goodies for only $25 - and all proceeds go to Oklahoma victims.

#2 The other huge thing on my mind was my school's science fair last night. It was the 1st one we've ever done and it was a huge hit! I was very proud of our little plant booth and lots of teachers came to check it out because they heard from other teachers it was pretty cool. A 5th grade teacher said that primary was putting intermediate to shame. Now that's what I call a good compliment!
Our little booth set up in the hallway, with my flower labeling craftivity:

#3 I recently splurged and bought a Polar watch based on some great recommendations. It's a watch with a heart rate monitor that you wear underneath your clothes. It tells you your heart rate and calories burned. I've always wondered how many calories I was burning, so I tested it out on Monday when I do 30 mins. of core training and 60 mins. of Zumba, and holy cow - was I shocked!
#4 I've been on a real craft kick lately for some reason and have made TONS of new cards the past two weeks. They turned out so darn cute I even entered one in an online contest this week!
#5 Mr. Squirrel visits us often (much to my yorkies' chagrin) and I decided that I wanted to get him a little treat. So I went to Home Depot and found this squirrel log you screw into your fence. I was waiting and waiting, hoping to catch him in the act, and voila - I caught him! Too cute!
Who knew about a squirrel log?! Very cool you were able to get that picture of him!
ReplyDeleteYour plant booth is very cute!

Hi Susanna! I think the squirrel log is made out of some kind of cornmeal. It was at Home Depot right next to the bird feeders. The package said instead of fighting them, feed them! haha
DeleteLove the cards and I love Zumba!
ReplyDeleteCute booth! I love those flower pictures :) We get squirrels here in Bangkok too; although, they'd probably bite your hand off if you tried to feed them!

LOVE your squirrel log! Just put it on my store list! I have a "pet" squirrel and this would be an absolute riot to watch this summer!

haha, this squirrel is our "pet" too. He comes in the morning when he hears us washing dishes at the sink and peers in the kitchen window at us, waiting for food. He's actually named "S Q" because our dogs know the word squirrel and will start barking at the patio door if they hear us say it! haha
DeleteI love your plant experiment!! What a great idea!
